Volunteers
Make an Impact as an Orientation Volunteer!
Help new students and their families feel welcome and supported during New Student Orientation this summer! As a volunteer, you'll play a key role in creating a positive experience for everyone.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Check-In & Check-Out: Assist with welcoming students and families in the morning or helping them wrap up their day.
- Help Table Support: Provide directions, answer questions, and guide new students and guests.
- Resource Fair Assistance: Distribute swag and check stamp cards as students explore campus resources.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and team spirit! Volunteering is a great way to build leadership skills, connect with new students, and contribute to a welcoming campus environment.
Orientation Faculty Fellow Program
SIUE Faculty members can join the paid Orientation Faculty Fellow Program to support orientation programming for incoming students. Fellows contribute through programming, presentation efforts, and meaningful engagement, enhancing the student experience during orientation events.
Participating in programs like the Faculty Fellow Program is a meaningful way to connect with students, support the campus community, and ensure everyone begins their SIUE experience on the right foot.
