Volunteer Opportunities
Become active in the SUAA/SIUE chapter. Volunteer for one or more of the following current openings.
- Legislative Affairs Committee — This committee, chaired by Keith Becherer, consists of employees and retirees working to support the interests of employees, retirees and survivors related to proposed legislation affecting our benefits. Establishing relationships with area state legislators and supporting the legislative platform of SUAA will be ongoing activities. Letter writing, phone calls and visits to local legislators are possible committee activities.
- Membership Committee — Chaired by Jo Gibson, this group needs enthusiastic current employees and retirees to actively engage in networking on campus and through other communications to foster awareness of the benefits of SUAA members. This group is always looking for volunteers to help with individual projects.
- Social/Events Committee — This proposed new committee will plan social events for our members. Several members have expressed a desire to have periodic social events for retirees, survivors and current employee members.
