Brief Description: Panel on Effective Communication with Elected Officials
The SIUE Staff Senate and SIUE Chapter of the State Universities Annuitant Association (SUAA) are co-hosting an event entitled Effective Ways to Communicate with Elected Officials, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, beginning at 5:00 pm in the Morris University Center Mississippi/Illinois Room. The goal of this event is to help interested individuals communicate effectively with elected officials.
The following individuals have confirmed their intent to participate:
- Former U.S. Representative John Shimkus
- Former IL Lt. Governor Sheila Simon
- Former Edwardsville School Board member Paul Pitts
Elected officials change over time, and those newly elected individuals may or may not be familiar with constituent concerns. Learn how to be an effective voice in advocating for your concerns.
