Independent Learning
On-Campus
- Black Faculty and Staff Association
- The Immersive, Meaningful Practices for Accountable Campus Transformation (IMPACT) Academy at SIUE affirms our commitment to developing a diverse, inclusive and supportive university community. Achieving this goal requires the engagement and support of the entire SIUE community. SIUE’s IMPACT Academy engages faculty and staff as catalysts and leaders in transforming SIUE into an environment where racism and all other forms of bias are not tolerated. IMPACT Academy Trainers support faculty and staff with cultivating a more equitable and inclusive learning environment for our students and working environment for our colleagues.
- LGBTQIA+ Support
- Safe Zone's mission at SIUE is to develop a campus community of allies and provide support to LGBTQIA+ students, faculty and staff with the ultimate goal of developing SIUE as a safe and welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people.
- Safe Zone Training: The purpose of Safe Zone was to train faculty and staff as allies who would help LGBTQIA+ students on campus.
- Queer Faculty & Staff Association (QFSA)
- Prevention Education and Advocacy Center (PEACe) provides opportunities for students to become involved in the prevention of gender-based violence. PEACe is committed to maintaining a community in which students, faculty and staff can work and learn together in an atmosphere free of all forms of discrimination, including sexual and dating/domestic violence. Sexual and dating/domestic violence violate the dignity of the individual and the integrity of the University as an institution of higher learning, and thus, will not be tolerated at SIUE.
- Well-Being Groups - Join other students to focus on your well-being, gain support, and learn pointers on coping with some of life's challenges. Sponsored by SIUE's Counseling Services.
