Introduction
Laptop 101 is your go-to resource for laptop-related eLearning courses. This website is geared towards individuals who are interested in learning about laptop hardware, software, and troubleshooting processes; or individuals who are looking to start a career in the laptop repair field.
There are two courses available on Laptop 101; Storage Device Overview and Laptop Storage Device Upgrade. These courses are meant to act as a starting point and help individuals learn basic laptop skills that they can take elsewhere and build on.

Course 1: Storage Device Overview
This eLearning course will review two, popular laptop storage device technologies; hard drives and solid-state drives. The course will focus on their physical differences and similarities, and the benefits of both technologies.
Course 2: Laptop Storage Device Upgrade Overview
The videos in the course will feature a laptop based on the Lenovo U530 Touch model.
This eLearning course will go through the laptop storage device upgrade process. The course will focus on the laptop disassembly and re-assembly processes, removing the old and installing the new storage device, and validating the new storage device is detected by the laptop.
Most laptops have a similar component layout, so the storage device upgrade process learned in the course can easily be applied to different laptop models.
