Hardware/Software and Internet Connectivity Requirements
Hardware
- Computer with sound card (desktop or laptop): Recommended 2GB RAM and over 40 GB free disk space
- Webcam
- Video recording device capable of recording a 20-30 minute presentation
- Printer
- Scanner
- Headset (microphone and headphone)
- CD/DVD ROM
- USB flash drive (recommended for backing up)
Software
- Current, Blackboard certified or compatible web browser
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); free version available from SIUE
- Antiviral software
- Free browser plug-ins including Java, QuickTime, RealPlayer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader
Internet Connectivity
- Internet access through an ISP with 56kbps speed or higher
