“These Hands Don’t Hurt” is a national service project that Alpha Kappa Lambda created to promote the fight against domestic violence in all its forms (spousal, sibling-sibling, parent-child, roommate-roommate.) During the promotion, the Men put together what is called a “Hands” Wall. Basically, students and other spectators make pledge against domestic violence by painting their hand and imprinting it on the Wall; or at other chapters, students cut out a piece of paper in the shape of their hand and paste it onto the Wall. The students/spectators then sign the Wall or Hand. By doing so, that student has made a pledge against domestic violence. You can learn more by visiting the National Website.
