Now that the data is prepared it is time to start building the Access database. These are the first steps for creating a new database:

• Open Microsoft Access
• Choose the Blank Database icon shown here

• Name the database Menagerie_Kennel as shown here

• Click ‘Create’

You have created the foundation on which the rest of the database will be built. Now, follow the steps in this document Importing from Excel to bring the data from Excel into the Access database and complete the initial table set up. You can also view the Importing AppServs from Excel to get the data imported and the table set up correctly.
