Both sons and daughter of Otto were able to graduate high school and therefore received more education that their father. However, after Otto died, Josephine would not let Louis go to college because he had to be the head of the household (Celeste). So we see the positive effects of immigration in that they did receive an education, and yet parts of the culture also held them back from receiving an exceptional education. These are photos of Gloria shortly before her death. The second is of Gloria in her military uniform. Photos courtesy of Chris D'Agnolo.

Louis D'AgnoloLouis D'AgnoloLouis and Priscilla D'Agnolo
These are all photos of Louis D'Agnolo as he grew up. The first one I'm assuming is for a sacrament since he is holding a candle and what looks like a Bible or prayer book. His family was Catholic as is mine today. He later became a deacon in the faith as well. The last one is of him with his wife Priscilla. Photos courtesy of Chris D'Agnolo.

Josephine, Louis, and Priscilla
This photo is of Josephine, Louis, and Priscilla during Christmas. Josephine lived to be 90 years old, something she was very proud of since that was not common in Italy (Brian). Another good side effect of immigration to America. Photo courtesy of Chris D'Agnolo.

We think Italy. Stregonona with her grandchildren.
We believe both of these images were in Italy. The second is Stregonona and her grandchildren, Roy, Gloria, and Louis.  Photos courtesy of Chris D'Agnolo.
