A piece of land: Decide on a piece of land in which you will grow your pumpkins. You will want to have a spot that is roughly forty feet by forty feet so that the vines have some where to branch out. You will need to work up the land with a walk behind rototiller. |

Walk Behind
Rototiller: This machine will allow you to till up your ground in no time. You cannot plant seeds in to a ground that is not worked up. How to use: Start up the machine and pull the level to begin moving forward. Work up the ground in a back and forth motion, similar to motion of cutting grass. Where can I find this? Fertilizer:You will need a bag of fertilizer that is to be spread across the ground once it is worked up and before you plant the pumpkins. Any type will do just as long as you use it.Where can I find this? At any home improvement or farm store. |

Fertilizer
Spreader: This tool is used to spread fertilizer on to the ground where you are wanting your pumpkins to grow. This tool can be used to spread multiple types of fertilizers other than the one previously discussed. How to: Add the fertilizer into the spreader and hit the button. It is a similar process of fertilizing grass to grow. Where can I find this? At any hardware, home improvement, or farm store. |

Pumpkin Seeds:There are a multitude of varieties available so first you must decide what pumpkins you are wanting. There are decorative pumpkins and carving pumpkins. You can find seeds at a farm supply story or online from a seed company. You will need about fifteen seeds for the land mentioned previously. Please note that some times pumpkin seeds are treated with a chemical to help them grow, which will in turn have the seeds be a bright color.Where can I find this? At any hardware, home improvement, or farm store. You also can find specialty pumpkins online at places. Just be mindful that the stores online may have a minimum quantity that must be purchased and it could be more seeds than you need. |

Hoe:You will need
this tool to create a trench to plant the seeds. You will also
use this tool to control the weeds that will grow by
your pumpkins.

Clippers: You will want a good pair of clippers, or pruning shears. These will be used to cut the stems of the pumpkins off of the vines. Depending on the type of pumpkin, their stems can be very thick and take a few cuts to detach the pumpkin from the vine. Where can I find this? At any hardware, home improvement, or farm store. |

Wheel Barrel: Once your pumpkins are grown, you are going to need to transport them to another location. Using a wheel barrel is the best solution as it allows you to carry multiple at a time. Be careful while using this tool as you do not want to dump your pumpkins out. Rather, you will want to left them out as to not bust them. Where can I find this?
