Abstract
Known today as “America’s Pastime”, Major League Baseball is one of the most historic leagues in the history of the world. It was one of the the first leagues to ever allow different cultures to play, have a world championship, and be known as the ultimate way for fans to get away from the hardships and tragedies in America throughout the 20th century. Introduced in 1869, the MLB continues to grow as a unit every year. Thousands of legends and all-stars have given America endless varieties of entertainment. Even though the NFL has emerged in this same conversation, Major League Baseball has still been able to solidify itself as our “National Past-time”, despite all of the historical events and memories created by the other professional leagues around America.

The World Series: The Championship Of America's Game
Major League Baseball is officially known as the oldest and most classical game in all of sports. In some ways, it's viewed as the most epic. There's no clock. The only thing remiaining is pure focus. And when the World Series comes around, the intensity gets cranked up to a notch that is impossible to describe. With fans on their feet, the loud roar of the crowd, and the bright lights on a clear night, the Fall Classic showcases "America's Past-time" in the most perfect way.
The Boston Americans (far left) won the first ever World Series in 1903 over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Every year, the World Series Champion of Major League Baseball recieves the Commissioner's Trophy (middle left). Starting in 1955, the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the World Series also recieved an award for his leadership and contribution to his team's success. Madison Bumgarner of the 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants turned in one of the greatest pitching World Series performances of all-time, which earned him the award (middle right). The feeling of winning a World Series just sometimes can't be put into words.
