Gaining life as a way for surf enthusiasts to maintain form and have fun in the off season. Skateboarding has its roots buried in the cement of our urban city streets. Early in its life the sport died, however experienced a large resurgence in the early 1970's where it was molded into the sport it is today. Skateboarding and skateboarders come in many different forms, most commonly circulated in American mainstream culture is the image of the short boarder (pictured above) who dominates both urban sidewalks and empty pools. Using a short board with small smooth wheels the short boarder is able to more easily maneuver through crowded urban environments with ease.
