About Me.

Hi! I'm Alexa Hillery. I am a junior at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville studying speech communication. I am originally from Alton, IL, but I am currently living in Edwardsville.

Some of my interests include coffee, Harry Potter and cooking for my friends and family. I love the color blue and anything sparkly. I fill my free time with friends, crafting and on-campus activities.

I am very involved on campus. In Student Government, I am the internal affairs officer. I'm a member of Alpha Sigma Tau. For the last year, I have been the chief justice of Greek Council. I am also the treasurer of College Democrats. I have done a lot on campus as an SIUE STAR and a Springboard to Success Student Leader.

This summer, I had the opportunity to work with Dan Beiser's campaign for state representative as an intern, organizing files, making phone calls and rallying support for Beiser. The campaign was a success, as Beiser will be the state representative for another term!

My plans for after college are kind of up in the air, but the options are limitless! I have considered law school and then becoming a politician. Politics have always interested me, so a job in government would be ideal!
