Banner Upgrade Planned for Summer

SIUE will be upgrading the Banner System from Banner 8 to Banner 9 over the weekend of July 28-29, 2018.
Banner 9 delivers a number of important enhancements, including a modern user interface, enhanced navigation and process management tools, and new functionality across the Student and HR systems. Microsoft Video and Office Mix to Retire This Summer

This summer, Microsoft will retire two of its applications: Office Mix and Video. Many of the options offered by these programs will be integrated into other Microsoft products, namely Stream and PowerPoint. However some of the features, such as Office Mix's quizzing and grade integration with Blackboard, will no longer be available.

New Attendance Feature in Blackboard

Ever wished you could log attendance inside of Blackboard? Now you can! With Blackboard's new Attendance tool, faculty can mark students as "present," "late," "absent," or "excused" for class sessions and assign points based on course policies.
Once attendance has been enabled in Blackboard, a column is automatically created in the Grade Center. Points will sync to this column as attendance is recorded (e.g. "present" for 5 points, "absent" for 0 points...
