It was the fall of 1989, while visiting family and friends during Thanksgiving in Springfield, Illinois. Sitting at the dining room table our plans of opening a restaurant in Arizona were discussed. We already had the location and name picked out. When it was time to return back to Scottsdale a very dear friend gave us a ride to the St. Louis airport. On our way we stopped in a small town called Raymond. Our friend took us by a building that was for sale and he thought it might be a great place for a restaurant. It is 27 years later and Huntergreen Inn and Pub is still in the same location.
