SIUE Cheer and Dance

Road to NCA/NDA Nationals

The Southern Illinois University Cheer and Dance Team will be competing at the National Cheerleaders Association/National Dancers Association College Nationals competition. NCA/NDA College Nationals is located in Daytona Beach, Florida on April 10th - 14th. Cheer will be competing in Small Coed Division 1 and Dance will be competing in the Division 1 category as well. Both teams have stepped up their practices in hope to make a name for themselves in their first ever nationals trip.

Teams

The SIUE Dance Team will be putting all eleven dancers on the floor.

The SIUE Cheer Team is having another tryout to see which cheerleaders will be on the competition mat. The alternates will still be required to attend all practices and step up to the nationals team if something happens to one of the team members. Regardless, all twenty-three members will be traveling to Daytona Beach, Florida in April.

Eddie the Cougar will be making his appearance in Daytona Beach as well. However, Eddie is not competing in the mascot division this year.
