Lesson 3: Solid-State Drive Overview

Inside the solid-state drive, you will find a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) with either Flash or DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) memory modules soldered onto the PCB. Data is read and written digitally to the solid-state drive, or memory module; which is where the data is stored. Traces, or paths, on the PCB which carry the data to and from the memory modules.
