ABOUT
Census 2000 will be published primarily on the Internet
through American Factfinder . DVD or CD-Rom formats of the files will be published after
the Internet release and may be available to depository libraries if Congress
permits and funds. Release dates may be viewed in Census
2000 Products at a Glance. Only three
print reports of the Census will be published. They are Summary Population
and Housing Counts, Population
and Housing Unit Counts, and
Summary Social, Economic and Housing Characteristics. They will be
published between 2002 and 2003. Introduction to

Introduction to
Census 2000 Products contains an overview of the information available
from Census 2000; a detailed description of the Census Bureau's geographic
entities; and schedules for the Census 2000 data products, by medium. Census
2000 Products at a Glance
Lists the release dates for Census 2000 data products and
summarizes the data for each product, the lowest level of geography for which
the data are available, and the media in which the data will be provided. CENSUS

Factfinder; Census Demographic and Economic Data
A tutorial produced by the University of Michigan Documents Center covering all aspects of American Fact finder including exercises. CENSUS DATA- United States
Census 2000 data will always appear first on the American
Factfinder. It will include all variables, 100% and sample, for all geographic areas
from national totals to the block level. Factfinder will also allow access to thematic or reference maps. Review the items in the TUTORIAL
section to use American Factfinder efficiently. The U.S. Census Bureau web site provides in depth coverage of statistical information about the population and the economy of the United States. Included in the site are: Subjects A-Z ,which allows you to connect to Census data by subject and Access Tools connects to data access tools developed and/or provided by the Census Bureau to extract and display on-line Census information.
