American FactFinder

American FactFinder is a U.S. Census Bureau data access system that will find and retrieve the information you need from some of theCensus Bureau's largest data sets. Users can:

       ---Find quick facts

       ---View detailed tables

       ---Build customized data tables

       ---View geographic and thematic maps

Special data products include: community profiles and industry and business facts (such as the Economic Census 1997).

These sources provide details about population and housing in the United States. Demographic information down to the neighborhood level (block groups) is available from the most recent US 1990 Census (STF3 A,B,C and D), along with more current estimates (1997) and projections (2002). Historical census data is also available.

 

Data on the Net

Users can search or browse a listing of 851 Internet sites of numeric Social Science statistical data, data catalogs, data libraries, social science gateways, addresses and more.

 

FedStats 

Fed Stats provides a list of more than 100 agencies of the United States federal government that produce statistics of interest to the public. FedStats provides easy access to the full range of publicly available statistics produced by these agencies. Fedstats:

       (2)---Allows you to search for statistics by keyword

       (3)---Connects to statistics-producing agencies by agency name

       (4)---Connects to statistics-producing agencies by broad subject category.
