About Me |
I am a 2010 graduate of Blackburn College. My degree is a
Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and a minor in biology.
During my undergrad education I played four years of NCAA Division
III soccer. At Blackburn, I also participated in the work
program working in the President's Office and as a TA in the
Biology Department. In addition I worked an internship at
Prairie Farms Dairy, in Carlinville IL as a lab technician
assistant. After graduating I worked another internship with
National Great Rivers Research and Education Center studying
genetic variation in the invasive species Canary Reed Grass.
I then moved on to working as a lab technician with a small
pharmaceutical testing company in St. Louis Mo.
In the fall of 2011 I went back to Southern Illinois University at
Edwardsville, taking graduate chemistry classes. In the
summer of 2012 I began the Masters of Arts in Teaching.
I grew up in New Baden IL and enjoy spending time playing sports,
and being outdoors. I love hanging out with my fiance Brad,
family and friends and playing with my dog Darla. With any
free time I enjoy gardening, sewing, and quilting.
