SIUE’s Poepsel Featured on MediaShift Following Visiting Professorship

SIUE’s Mark Poepsel, PhD, assistant professor of mass communications in the College of Arts and Sciences, shared his major takeaways from a two-week visiting professorship at DigitasLBi in Chicago, in an article, entitled “What Happens When a ‘Dinosaur’ Goes Digital First at DigitasLBI-Chicago.” The piece is featured on MediaShift.org.
Poepsel was one of six educators nationwide to participate in the 2016-17 Scripps Howard Foundation Visiting Professors in Social Media Program. His professorship offered an in-depth look at how the marketing firm is using social media across multiple platforms.
During the second phase of the program, a representative from DigitasLBi Chicago will travel to SIUE for a three-to-five-day visit.
