Southern Illinois University Edwardsville graduate student Philip Alabi has collected 900 used academic textbooks to ship to his undergraduate institution in Nigeria, where he says such books are a rarity.
The Alton Telegraph detailed Alabi’s book drive efforts in an article posted Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is authorized to operate as a postsecondary educational institution by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
