Hack the Arch 2016 to be Held at SIUE
The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Center for STEM Research, Education and Outreach is co-sponsoring a unique event aimed at testing and expanding cyber-security skills and awareness.
Hack the Arch 2016, presented by The Military Cyber Professionals Association – St. Louis, will be held from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 in SIUE’s Morris University Center Conference Center.
According to MCPA-STL, participants will compete in a digital capture the flag event in which cyber-security skills will be utilized. Teams will try to solve puzzles from such categories as network exploitation, cyber forensics, cryptography and cyber trivia.
The event features teams of one to five people competing in various brackets, including middle school, high school, youth/adult, college and professional. No prior knowledge is necessary.
