SIUE Alumni Honored with Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Community Awards
Three Southern Illinois University Edwardsville alumni were recognized for their achievements and contributions to the community at the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Annual Community Awards Gala and Auction. The event, sponsored by the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce, was held Saturday, March 12 in SIUE’s Morris University Meridian Ballroom.
Dale Keller, president and founder of Keller Construction, received the Albert Cassens Award for Outstanding Community Achievement. Keller earned a bachelor’s in business administration/marketing from the SIUE School of Business in 1973.
Robert Plummer, founder of R.L.P. Development and president and CEO of R.P. Lumber, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Plummer achieved a bachelor’s in history from the SIUE College of Arts and Sciences in 1972.
Local historian Cindy Reinhardt was presented the Tallerico Leadership Award. Reinhardt earned a bachelor’s in business administration/marketing from the SIUE School of Business in 1982. She was also an employee of the University, working in the Cougar Store, from 1989-2009.
