SIUE Alumni Honored by RiverBend Growth Association
Three SIUE alumni were recognized for their impact on the region at the RiverBend Growth Associational Annual Awards Dinner held Thursday, Jan. 28.
Pat Schwarte was named Ambassador of the Year for the second straight year. Schwarte earned a bachelor’s in business administration at SIUE in 1988.
School of Business alum Steve Thompson received a Chairman’s Award. Thompson achieved a bachelor’s in accountancy at SIUE in 1993.
SIUE alumna Karen Wilson was also recognized as she will now lead the RiverBend Growth Association as board chairman. An alum of the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior, Wilson earned a bachelor’s in elementary education in 1994 and a master’s in education administration in 2000.
