The Returning Resident Application is closed. The Returning Resident Application will open on October 21, 2024. The priority deadline to apply and be able to participate is January 31, 2025. By submitting your application and $200 advance payment (which is applied to your fall housing bill) by the priority deadline, you are able to participate in the Reservation Process which includes the following options:
- Homesteading (only available to Evergreen and Cougar Village residents) - living in the same space (Cougar Village) or the same type of space (Evergreen Hall)
- Homesteader Roommate - living with a current resident who is homesteading
- Open Space Selection - selecting your actual space in either Evergreen or Cougar Village
- LLC - living in one of our three upperclass LLCs (Engineering, Health Professionals, Honors)
- Upperclass Wing - living in one of the upperclass residence hall wings
University Housing will continue to accept applications after the priority deadline through the summer for Fall 2024-Spring 2025. Please note that once you move out of University Housing, you will reapply as a new student and be responsible for the $50 non-refundable application fee and $75 housing deposit. Please explore these pages for more information about the reservation process and your options.
SIUE Housing hosted a webinar on Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00 PM to share information about the reservation process and upperclass housing options.
Current Family Housing residents can reapply for Family Housing beginning February 1. Family residents do not need to complete this application. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Central Housing Office at (618) 650‑3931 or housing@siue.edu.
