IIN Social Innovation and Impact Seed Grants

The Illinois Innovation Network aims to advance collaborative research within the state with its Social Innovation and Impact seed grant program. Social Innovation and Impact grants can be used to pursue a wide variety of projects that directly affect lives, address critical social problems, and build trusted partnerships in a given community.
Submit your proposals for IIN Social Innovation and Impact seed grants by Friday, April 18! Social Innovation and Impact grants can be used to pursue a wide variety of projects that directly affect lives, address critical social problems, and build trusted partnerships in a given community.
Proposals must include co-principal investigators (co-PIs) from at least two IIN hubs. Projects also should include a co-PI or collaborator from at least one Illinois community-based organization. These projects should start between July 1 and September 30, 2025, and may last up to two years.
Social Innovation and Impact themes may involve problem-solving around the type of example issues identified below. These are intended as examples and not an exhaustive list.

- Arts and Humanities
- Social Issues
- A combination of themes or an area of focus within social innovation and impact not listed above.
Proposals will be accepted at https://go.uillinois.edu/SII by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Friday, April 18. Any questions should be submitted to iincontact@uillinois.edu prior to the deadline.
