CE Student wins multiple scholarships

Civil Engineering undergraduate student Ryan Gueldener was recently awarded national and regional scholarships from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Gueldener is currently a senior in the Civil Engineering program and serves as the president of the ASCE student chapter. He currently works as a summer intern at Oates Associates, in Collinsville, IL. MiTek Donates Funds to support Timber Design Course

MiTek Industries has made a generous donation of $10,000 to support the offering of Timber Design to SIUE students during the 2018-19 academic year. Mitek manufactures steel connectors for residential wooden trusses and creates software, aiding engineers in such designs. Many CE alumni are employed in their Chesterfield, MO, office.
