SIUE Civil Engineering Assists with Hosting MATHCOUNTS Competition

The SIUE Department of Civil Engineering is proud to assist the Illinois Society of Civil Engineers (ISPE) with hosting MATHCOUNTS on February 3rd, 2018. MATHCOUNTS is a non-profit organization that tries to engage middle school students in math and problem solving. In February, the St. Clair Chapter of ISPE hosts our local MATHCOUNTS competition at SIUE, during which students from a number of local schools compete individually or as a team in several different rounds. From our competition, 2 teams and 2 individuals will advance to the State competition in March, and then the winners from that competition will advance to the National competition in May.
