Mental Health Resources
Screenings
Students are welcome to take a Free Mental Health Screening. Please note that screening results are not monitored and do not become part of your client chart in Counseling and Health Services. It is meant only for informational purposes and not for diagnostic purposes. Students are encouraged to follow up with Counseling Services if results suggest distress or that additional support is needed.
Peer Support
Certified Peer Educators are students who are excited to help support fellow students navigate the challenges associated with being a college student. They have completed a comprehensive, 12-hour foundation training focused on the core skills that will make them a better leader, role model, activist, and team member. After completing the training, students receive a certificate, membership card, and resume attachment by completing the online test. Reach out to cougarcare@siue.edu if you are interested in becoming a Certified Peer Educator.
