What are the highlights of the insurance plan?

I have always had health insurance coverage through my parents and that is no longer available to me. Can I enroll in SIUE’s plan now even though it is not open enrollment?

Yes, your situation may be eligible as a Qualifying Event. You can find more details at My Care 26.

Do I have to enroll in SIUE’s student insurance?

If you are full time student and enrolled in at least one on-ground class, a DNP student, or a student in the School of Pharmacy, you either need to be enrolled in SIUE’s student insurance or be approved for a waiver. Part time students and fully on-line students are not eligible to have SIUE student insurance or go through the waiver process.

I have military health insurance and need proof of health insurance for the waiver process?

You can request proof of military insurance on milConnect .

I purchased the insurance but haven’t received my insurance card yet. When will I receive it?

In order to view or print your card, you will need to create your account through My Care 26 and open the menu on the right-hand side of your dashboard. If you have active coverage, you can find your contract number and other information there. You will need this information to set up your account in United Healthcare Student Resources. Click My Account Login Page to go to UHSCR. Create a UHC Account. You may also download the app by following the instructions on the flyer.

I lost my insurance card. Can I get another one?

In order to view or print your card, you will go through MYCare26.

Will I need a new card for the spring semester?

Returning students will use the same card they used in the fall semester. Only new students will need to print a new card for the spring semester.

Will I be reimbursed for any labs or prescriptions that I received at Health Service?

Is Vision Insurance included?

Vision insurance is included within the Health Insurance plan.

Is Dental Insurance included?

Optional Dental insurance is available to purchase separately by clicking on the Enhanced Products tab at My Care 26. These services are not administered by Academic HealthPlans

What do I do if I need additional help?

Please review the SIUE My Care 26 for answers. If you still have questions, go to the Help Center by clicking on Get Help at the top right AHP help desk and you can either open a ticket or click on the Chat button on the bottom right corner of the website to chat with an AHP team member. If that does not get your questions answered, you may call AHP at 855-825-3986.
