What Do You Like Most About SIUE? The integration of Education and Research.
What Do You Find To Be the Biggest Difference Between the U.S. and Your Home Country? Not very much- except the landscape. The population is quite high in my home country, and most live in apartments. Another major difference is the education system in which we have to take a national exam in order to be admitted into a particular program after graduating from high schools. In general, students out there do not have a lot of choices for their majors. In USA, students tend to have more options to explore in different disciplines and pursuit their careers based on their interests.
Interesting Facts There are more opportunities that exist in the country, which encourage people to develop and explore themselves regardless their ages and educations. I have moved from New York City to Cleveland before arriving in Edwardsville. It is very interesting to see the cultural diversity in the metropolitan areas of USA as well as different ways of living, including accents in the eastern coast and Midwest. |
