How Long Have You Been in the U.S.? Since 2002
How Long Have You Been at SIUE? Since 2007
What Do You Like Most About SIUE? It is a beautiful and pedestrian-friendly campus. In my home country, people walk a lot more and I miss that!
What Do You Find To Be the Biggest Difference Between the U.S. and Your Home Country? The two countries are so different in so many aspects that it is hard to decide. One interesting difference that I am reminded of constantly is how teachers and students interact with each other. Behaviors like calling professors by the first name are considered very disrespectful by a lot of Chinese.
Interesting Facts: When I was an English major in China, I watched American TV shows to improve my English. I loved Growing Pains and Friends, and still remember a lot of the conversations in the shows. |
