Dr. Hu engages in collaborative research and frequently guest lectures in universities in China. Since 2006, he has worked with colleagues from Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. His goal is to exchange ideas and collaborate on research that study the effects of urban land use and land cover change on watershed hydrological regime.
