In-State Tuition
SIUE offers in-state tuition to undocumented students.

- Undocumented students may fill out an application online or a paper application in person.
- Pay $40 application fee. Fee waivers are available for those who meet criteria.
- A social security number is not needed to fill out application. Please answer “No” for “U.S. Citizen” and “Applying for Financial Aid.”
- Submit an official copy of high school transcripts and ACT scores and/or all college transcripts.
- Must complete affidavit and other additional forms, as needed.

Financing your Education
Undocumented and DACA students are eligible for SIUE Meridian, Cougar Pride, and Johnetta Haley Scholarships, as well as privately funded merit scholarships or grant aid.

Students living in Illinois can now complete the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid. This application will allow qualifying undocumented students to be considered for the Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) grant. Visit the Illinois Student Assistance Commission website for additional information and the application. Please list SIUE on your application so we receive the appropriate information.
