You may have already seen the social media campaign we began in August. The “Be a Better Everything. Be a Sociologist.” campaign highlights the successes of nine of our alumni and shows that a sociology degree supports your goals in the professional world.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I use my sociology degree every day. It helps me better understand the circumstances of individual patients since the society and the individual are interconnected.

From a sociological lens, the beer industry is very white and male dominated. I’m a part of the Pink Boots Society, an organization which was founded to empower women and non-binary people in the industry as we work toward increasing diversity and equal access and opportunity within the beer industry for employees and consumers.
