Welcome to our website. My name is Carla Sprankle, the founder of the Catch a Falling Star. Eleven years ago, Catch a Falling Star was a dream. As I think back I am amazed at what an incredible journey we have taken together. During the past year Catch a Falling Star has felt the pressures of the economic times. God has taken us in many directions throughout the past eleven years. With your support we have impacted hundreds of children. Though the locations have changed, the mission of working with the children has always remained our number one focus. I have always been a strong advocate for after-school programs. Over the years my experience has proven to me how necessary after-school programs are especially for children that are at risk. Catch a Falling Star reaches a wide variety of socio/economic backgrounds such as low income, children with disabilities and refugee children, creating inclusion for all children. We work with children who have behavioral problems. By helping these children at an early age, we give them an understanding of what they can become an aspire to be. Without the structured after-school program so many children only see darkness in their future. With your support, Catch a Falling Star will continue to work with children.
