Split-plot SUMMARY

• variation among subunits is expected to be less than among whole units, therefore, assign the following to subunits:

  • Factors which require smaller amounts of experimental material
  • Factors of major importance
  • Factors which are expected to exhibit smaller differences
  • Factors for which greater precision is required
