Benoist - the Benoist collection contains a few framed presentation
photos of musicians and a large number of snapshots (with negatives) taken by Andre Benoist himself. Total: 526.
Damrosch - the Damrosch collection consists almost entirely of photographs
of Walter Damrosch, his family, and his musical associates. Many of the photographs of musical
celebrities are signed. The collection contains a total of about 600 pieces.
John Kendall -
Mohr - contains photographs of more than five hundred contemporary European composers.
Ruth Slenczynska - documents the life of the child prodigy,
from her early childhood through her career as a concert pianist, and eventual position as Artist-in-Residence for Southern
Illinois University at Edwardsville. Included are newspaper clippings, photos, music programs, personal correspondence, handwritten
performance notes and manuscripts, and compositions written by students and colleagues. The material is organized in chronological
order by type of material.
Tollefsen - the Tollefsen autograph collection contains over 3500
photographs, sketches, etc. of musicians, matched with samples of their writing. In addition
to the material in scrapbooks, there are several boxes of loose material, apparently assembled
in preparation for a new scrapbook, and 112 framed portraits.
