This is a page on how to add effects to photoshop.

Photoshop is a great program to use when editing or creating photos. This program comes with many tools to use to make your content "Pop". Because there are volumes and volumes of instructions, features, and tutorials, I have only included the directions for adding effects to your photo.

The first thing that you want to be aware of is which layer you are working with. In Photoshop, there are many layers, so selecting the correct one is crucial. The default settings of Photoshop place most vital menus on the right hand side of the screen. Once you have selected the appropriate layer for adding your effects, you can begin manipulating the content.

There is a button in the layers menu that allows you to add specific effects to your content. The button is label "fx". By clicking the fx button you will get a prompt with the various effects available in Photoshop.

As you select the various effects you see that they take place almost immediately. It is a good idea to move the prompt box to the side by clicking and dragging the blue title bar at the top of the prompt. The only way to get the desired effect is to experiment with the features in this prompt.

Congratulations, you have added effects to your content. As you become more familiar with the various effects, you can start experimenting with other layers or other types of content.
