Emily RoseBorn on 05/24/2001 at 12:46 PM5 pounds 9 ounces and 18.25 inches longJune, 2002 June has always a busy month for Duane and me. We have been pretty active in planning and running the Alhambra Homecoming for the last six or seven years. For the month of June, life as we know it ceases to exist. So, Emily got her first real taste of homecoming life. She was at last year's homecoming, but she slept though most of it. This year, she got to be in the parade and everything. She rode around the park in her wagon with Daddy. Fortunately, she has a pretty good disposition, or we would have had to find others to take our place on the homecoming committee (is that good or bad?). We survived Homecoming and athe week following homecoming, I took Emily to Splash City, the water park in Collinsville. She really had a blast. She played in the fountains and splashed in the little kids area. I think she will have a bunch more fun when she gets old enough to walk. Speaking of walking, we are not walking YET. She crawls quicker
than anything and pulls up on anything she can get her little hands on.
Everyone says not to worry, but I can't help it. I know she'll walk
soon and I'll regret it, but it sure would be nice to see her walk a little
bit. Carol said that she has never seen a kid who doesn't learn how
to walk, but I am starting to wonder about mine!
