      Update!!! February 16, 2002

      Emmy is growing by leaps and bounds every day. This weekend, she showed her clapping ability! She also missed her daddy, who spent his first ever night away from her. By Saturday night, she was really missing Daddy. She kept saying 'Dadada' in the most pathetic voice I have ever heard. She sure was happy to see Daddy when he got home!

      We go to the doctor next week for her nine month check-up. Can you believe she is that old? I am going to gamble that she will be 22 pounds and 27 inches long. With the way this kid eats, she'll have me on Sally Jesse Raphael for having an overweight kid soon! Carol has been giving her some solid foods at the daycare. Carol said that she loves toast. I tried giving her some this weekend, but I think she was suffering from 'Daddy blues' and didn't want to eat.

      It has been nine months now since Emily's dramatic arrival onto the scene. According to the home health nurse that visits every couple of months, Emily is right on track and even ahead in some areas. We attribute a lot of that to her Day Care. They are wonderful with her. She loves them almost as much as they love her!

      Well, that is all for now. Thanks to all for your love, support and prayers over the last nine months. Without all of you, I don't know what we would have done.
