The Aphrodite's Temple
a great room. On the far wall there is a painting of the most beautiful Goddess in the world...Aphrodite herself. As you walk closer, you can make out her face, which is surrounded by long, luxurious brown hair, held in place by a delicate filigree gold crown. She wears a thin golden necklace the rests atop her snow white bosom. Her dress is a pure virgin white. She is shown emeging from the foamy sea in reference to her amazing birth of semen, salt water, and blood. The painting is so realistic that you can almost smell her perfume and are tempted to sheild your eyes from the glare of her jewels. To the left is a basket of crimson anemone flowers (that of course represent the death of her lover Adonis). You may pick one up and smell it if you wish. A loveseat is here.
You see a crimson anemone flower here.
The Inner Room
a large square room. In front of you is yet another painting of Aphrodite and some of her sons; Eros, Anteros, Hymeaios, and Aeneas. The room is set up in preparation for the Aphrodisiac, a festival celebrated in honor of Aphrodite. Usually, these festivals are practiced in Greece, as well as Corinth and Athens, who adopted her as their patroness. Delos is fortunate to participate in such an important festival. The roomis filled with beds, eight total. From behind the curtains that encase the beds, you may see the head of a priestess appear in search of her next chance to worship her Goddess through intercourse. The room is lightly perfumed by the rose petals that are strewn about the floor. Each bed is accessorized by a painting of swans or under-the-sea motifs. Beside each bed is a tray of seafood, which is known for its aphrodisiac attributes, and red-wine, and of course, a small sketching of the reigning priestess in Aphrodites magic girdle. The girdle will hopefully make you fall in love with the priestess you see in the sketch. Enjoy the feeling of the plush floor and the scent of roses and juniper. Feel free to smell a rose, sit in a chair, or worship with a goddess. A comfortable sleigh bed with many soft pillows sits in the far corner of the room underneath the window. A bed one is here. Ena, a beautiful priestess is alert and ready to worship with you. She has a very special invitation for anyone who says hello to her. NancyR's recliner is here.

The The Cave
You walk to the cave and can see a large opening with a statue next to it. As you walk closer you can see the statue is made of wood and appears to be of Aphrodite armed. It is similar to one you have seen before in the Sanctuary of Morpho. As you begin to explore the cave you can hear the quite splash of water in the distance. Then you notice a waterfall in the very back of the cave. There is a candle lit here and a book. You pick up the book and began to read. It seems to contain directions for a prayer. As you continue to read the book explains how widows and mothers have come here for centuries to pray for love and happy marriages. This ritual, the book explains, began in grotto at Naupactus. You may sit and PRAY by the waterfall or MOVE on.The waterfall makes a soft calming sound in the background. You decide to sit on the rocky edge and can feel the gentle mist of water on your checks. You begin to pray for the marriage of your dreams. When you are DONE you walk back to the candle and place the book in its orginial place.
