About Me:
I am a recent graduate from SIU Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in Geography. I minored in Business Administration through the SIUE School of Business. I received a business scholarship for my work and achievments in CMIS (i.e., systems analysis, CMIS for Business, and Visual Basic programming).
My interest in geography is largely based on my desire to help people and avoid risk. My general research focuses on hazards. I was recognized by the Department of Geography at SIUE for my research titled An Analysis of Deer-Vehicle Collisions on SIUE Roads at the SIUE Senior Assignment Showcase in 2011. Following this recognition, I graduated and received a graduate assistantship at SIUE. I was granted a position on a joint research effort through SIUE School of Engineering and the Department of Geography with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). I intend to focus my graduate thesis on hazards and continue to work for the US Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement.
