Welcome Everyone!

Hello everyone and welcome to my website! My name is Kayla Marie Myers, I am a 19 year old (almost 20!) college student attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I am studying to become a Public Relatinons professional and land my dream job at either a public relations firm, a travel agency or even, with luck, I hope to help aid in PR for a well-known professional sports team. Maybe the Cardinals or the Blues? Fingers crossed!

I currently live in Edwardsville, Illinois but I am originally from Columbia, Illinois which is just about 45 minutes away. Many people wonder why I chose a college campus so close to home, and I always tell them the same thing, I fell in love with SIUE ever since the first time I visited. Sure it is nice to be able to drive home to see my family, but SIUE is just far enough away that I don't always recieve visitors, which to be honest, allows me to have the freedom I desire.

I am currently in my second year as an SIUE student, however my offical academic standing states that I am a junior. I was extremely lucky while in high school and took many college level courses which, when transfered, counted for a total of one full semester here at SIUE. With that full semester under my belt, I plan on graduating in only three years. Some may say this plan is crazy, and maybe it is, but hey I'm graduating next semester in the Spring, and while everyone else is still stuck writing papers and stressing about homework, I hope to be working full-time to achieve my career goal.

While starting off college, I met my dream guy and we have currently been dating for amost two whole years now. His name is Dustin McCurdy and he is originally from Pinckneyville, Illinois, located near our sister campus, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Dustin is studying within the field of education and one day he hopes to become a Middle School Science teacher. He is a football player for SIUE, and he means an awful lot to me!

Now, about my family, I come from a family of six people. My parents, Keith and Donna, and my siblings who are also triplets, Ashley, Brittany and Cory. All three are 17 years old and attend Columbia High School as juniors. All three have big dreams ahead of them, Ashley hopes to become a Physical Therapist, Cory wishes to get involved with Sports Management and Brittany is going into the art field and already has Disney looking at her.
