Remelius Family History

This side of my family was a little more complicated. When I went to talk with my grandparents, they did not know too much

about there family after my grandpa's grandparents. My grandpa did tell me that his descendants were from Germany. But

where at in Germany? This is currently unknown. This is something that i would like to find out some day.

My Descendants

Marton (My Great Great Grandfather)

I was unable to track down his date of birth nor his date of death. I did find out that he was married to

    Ella Ebel. This is all that i know. Here to the right is the only picture that i was able to track down of

        Marton. Also in this picture is my Great Grandfather Oliver. The photo below is Marton's wife holding

        baby Oliver.

Oliver (My Great Grandfather)

Born 3/9/1905
Died 3/4/1955

Oliver William Remelius was born in Belleville. He worked as a carpenter. He got married to Evelyn

        Ruth Scher on March 17, 1928 in Nashville, IL. Evelyn was a teacher until about the time when my

        grandfather was born. They had three children named Betty, Rich, and Jean. Evelyn passed away on

        May 9, 1991. Oliver died from cancer. This is also the only picture that I could find of Oliver. In this

Rich (My Grandfather)

Born 2/7/1929

Richard Remelius owned his own auto body shop. He worked on vehicles all of his life. This is how he picked up the art for restoring old vehicles. The Durrant Star

        on my Family Heirlooms page was completely restored by him. He also had a love for flying airplanes. These were his two major hobbies, working on cars and

        flying his planes. He married Jeanette Weissert on June 7, 1949. Jeanette was born on August 10, 1930. They had six children named Bob, Carol, Pam, Gary, Mary,

        and Jeff. Jeanette was a stay at home mother while the kids were growing up.

Mary (My Mother)

Born 2/2/1960

Mary is a beautician. She has her own beauty salon inside our home. This was convenient for her to have her own business basically because she was able to make

her own schedule while raising four kids. Mary is the second youngest child of Rich and Jeanette. (Picture and more information about my parents on main page.)
