Student

I am a freshman at SIUE this year; I plan on majoring in Speech Communication, with a minor in Women’s Studies.

Key responsibilities

I have many responsibilities as a student at SIUE. Besides my classes I am also involved in Greek life as well as the Christian ministries on campus. I am a member of an international sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon and attend BSM (Baptist Student Ministries) as extra-curricular activities. As a student in the academic world, my responsibilities involve going to class, studying, working on projects and doing my best in all my course-work.  For my sorority, I hold two positions which means I must attend weekly chapter meetings as well as other meetings to plan and carryout activities to better my sorority and my sisters.

Biographical Information

I am from Rockford Illinois, my home of eighteen, almost nineteen years. I have lived in the same house with my two parents as an only child and have attended two private schools wrapping six years of homeschooling in the middle.  For seven years now I have raised monarch butterflies and I enjoy long-distance bike trips. I am an adult Girl Scout, in my eleventh year with the GSUSA program and am now a member of an international sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon at SIUE.  As a freshman at SIUE, I am planning on majoring in Speech Communication with a minor in Women’s Studies.
