You can browse books on computing and the Internet by going to Amazon.com, Books, Computers and the Internet.  You have immediate access to the book reviews of computer related journals and magazines, the list of the Top 50 Best Sellers, the list of the Top 25 soon-to-be-released future best sellers.  You can also search for books by author, title, and subject.

When you find a book, you have access to the publisher's review and any comments of customers who have bought the book.  You can order the book online, receive a 20 to 40 % discount off the retail price, and expect to receive the order by mail within a couple of days.

Your association with Amazon.com can be further reinforced by registering your book preferences with the company.  You will then receive by e-mail recommendations "from their editors" of new books that fall within your preferences.  You may also want to return your comments on the books that you have purchased to have them posted for other customers to read.
