MICROBIOLOGIST: The Department of Biological
Sciences, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for a
tenure-track, Assistant Professor position. We seek applicants with training in
microbiology. The successful candidate
will share responsibility for teaching major and non-major courses in
microbiology, offer upper-division course in area of expertise, and may also
teach basic biochemistry. Candidates
should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving
Master=s and undergraduate students.
TERMS
OF APPOINTMENT: Continuing academic year (nine month)
appointment; tenure eligible.
QUALIFICATIONS: A PhD in the biological sciences
with specialization in microbiology, or related field. Post-doctoral teaching and/or research
experience preferred.
