Your Important First Steps
Congratulations on your admission to SIUE! Please follow these important steps before registering for Orientation.
Step 1: Confirm Your Enrollment (first-year students only)
Are you ready to accept your offer of admission? Let's do it!
- Log in to your application portal.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your password or click 'Forgot password' and follow the steps provided to create a new password.
- Click on 'View decision letter.'
- Accept your offer of admission.
- Click on "How to pay your deposit.' Your enrollment is confirmed once you pay the $190 non-refundable enrollment fee.
- Celebrate!

First-year students: Remember, your non-refundable enrollment deposit must be paid before your official acceptance into SIUE. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to the Office of Admissions at admissions@siue.edu or 618-650-3705.
Step 1: Confirm Your Enrollment (transfer students only)
- Confirm your enrollment at SIUE by signing up for a Transfer Student Orientation.
- Sign-up will open in early April.
- Save the date for July 25 or August 4!

Step 2: Activate Your E-ID (first-year and transfer students)
To access the Orientation Portal and register for Orientation, you must activate your E-ID. Your E-ID is your key to unlocking SIUE’s online resources—your Orientation Portal, CougarNet, and SIUE email.
- First-Year Students: You must complete step one above before you can activate your E-ID.
- Transfer Students: You can activate your E-ID as soon as you’ve been accepted to SIUE.
Follow these steps to activate your E-ID
- Visit the E-ID Activation Page.
- Enter your Student ID (found in your acceptance materials).
- Follow the instructions to create your password and security questions.

Now that you're officially an SIUE student it's time to get ready for Orientation.
Orientation is mandatory for all first-year students, because it’s proven to help set the stage for greater success on campus. It’s also highly recommended for transfer students new to the SIUE community. We can't wait to see you on campus!
